Polyamide 12 material

Polyamide (PA), commonly known as nylon, is a diverse group of polymers that are used as engineering plastics to replace metals to meet downstream industrial requirements for lightweight, low-cost products.

When reinforced with carbon fibers (staple or long), their stiffness can compete with that of metals, which is why polyamides are often considered in metal replacement projects. Polyamides are widely used in the automotive, transportation, electronics, electrical, and consumer goods markets.
