Homopolymer PP LGF50 is not affected by humidity, has high-frequency insulation and good dielectric properties, becomes brittle at low temperatures, is not wear-resistant, and is easy to age. Suitable for making general mechanical parts, corrosion-resistant parts and insulating parts. Common organic solvents such as acids and alkalis have little effect on it.
Polypropylene has many excellent characteristics:
1. The relative density is small, only 0.89-0.91, which is one of the lightest varieties in plastics.
2. Good mechanical properties. Except for impact resistance, other mechanical properties are better than polyethylene, and the molding processability is better.
3. It has high heat resistance, and the continuous use temperature can reach 110-120℃.
4. Good chemical performance, almost no water absorption, and no reaction with most chemicals.
5. The texture is pure and non-toxic.
6. Good electrical insulation.
7. The transparency of polypropylene products is better than that of high-density polyethylene products.
It has many advantages but also disadvantages:
1. The product has poor cold resistance and low low temperature impact strength.
2. Products are susceptible to aging due to light, heat and oxygen during use.
3. The colorability is not good.
4. Easy to burn.
5. Poor toughness, high static electricity, poor dyeability, printability and adhesion.

The cooling fan is used to reduce the temperature of the engine. Its shape is complex, and the material is required to have high heat resistance and excellent processing performance. Usually, long glass fiber reinforced nylon material is used.
LGF/PP has excellent processing properties, and heat resistance can meet the needs of the working environment; compared with nylon materials, the quality of products can be reduced by about 20%. It has been popularized and used in cooling fan components. Shift mechanism The shift mechanism currently mainly uses metal materials and short fiber nylon materials. A few foreign models have tried to use LGF/PP instead of short glass fiber nylon materials for the shift mechanism skeleton of a few foreign models.
Nylon materials are easy to absorb water, and the water absorption rate of finished parts is generally above 0.7%. In a high temperature and high humidity environment, there is a risk of failure. If it is changed to LGF/PP, which is not easy to absorb water, such problems can be avoided. At the same time, the use of long glass fiber reinforced PP material can reduce quality and reduce costs.
The air-conditioning fan LGF/PP has excellent dimensional stability. The air-conditioning axial-flow centrifugal fan made of it not only improves the appearance and heat resistance, but also reduces the production cost of the product. Electronic accelerator pedal The electronic accelerator pedal arm needs to withstand greater force. Therefore, the selection of materials requires better toughness, and the high and low temperature variability of the material is small.
At present, the electronic accelerator pedal arm is mainly made of glass fiber reinforced nylon. Ticona material supplier successfully used LGF/PP on the electronic accelerator pedal, which has good performance of low odor and high strength, and improved the air quality in the car.
In addition, LGF/PP can be used for seat backs instead of traditional steel frameworks, which can reduce the mass by 20%. It also has excellent design freedom and mechanical properties, and expands the seating space.
