4. Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS)
Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) is a thermoplastic resin with a molecular backbone containing phenyl sulfide groups. It is a specialty engineering plastic with excellent comprehensive properties. Compared to metals or ceramics, PPS-based polymer composites can reduce weight by up to 60% and offer a lower overall cost. It does not shield electromagnetic signals and has excellent properties such as high-temperature resistance, electrical insulation, self-extinguishing flame resistance, and wear resistance, making it suitable for various intelligent robot applications.
